A couple of weeks ago Sirui sent me some stuff to test and play around - just in time for our family vacation that led us to the northsea coast in Schleswig Holstein.
What i got was one of the all new R3213X Tripod which is the smallest tripod of the professional RX Series from Sirui, additional to that a K30X Ballhead (which i already
own since 2013 and which is a pleasure to use) and also along came a Polarising filter (big enough in diameter to fit on my 24-70 2.8 from Tamron) .
Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich von Sirui ein paar Sachen zum testen erhalten - gerade rechtzeitig zu unserem Familienurlaub an der Nordsee in Schlesweig Holstein
Was per Post eintrudelte war einmal das neue R3213X Stativ - die kleinste Variante der RX Serie von Sirui, einen K30X Stativkopf (diesen besitze ich schon seit 2013 und es ist immer noch eine Freude damit zu arbeiten ausserdem war noch ein Polfilter mit 82mm Durchmesser - damit gross genug um mein 24-70 2.8 von Tamron zu passen.
The R3213X is the newest and smallest member of the professional RX series from Sirui (Package measures 610mm, extends to 1410mm and to 1790mm with the centercolumn and supports up to 22kg weight on it).
The giant tripods of the RX series are impressive, with considerable load capacity and outstanding stability. Definitely not suitable for lightweight travel luggage but the largest size when required for heavy photography or video equipment! A huge advantage is the interchangeable adapter half bowl that can be directly used in a video head. It is flexible and you can switch between photo and video with just one tripod.
Absolutly stable and robust, the tripods are excellent in the studio because they can be quickly and easily set to a tall working height. Nature photographers also will appreciate their RX tripod. A large objective lens on a gimbal head makes for a stable and vibration-free tripod.
The tripod comes in a nice nylon bag with handles and a removable strap that also can be attached directly on the tripod. As normal for Sirui, there are some other awesome features:
- Head support plate: This plate is made off aluminium and fitted with a 3/8" screw to secure the attached
equipment. In order to prevent accidentally rotating the equipment, a fixing screw is located in the mounting plate.
- 75mm levelling collar: Included is the R2X-75A 75mm half collar adapter which can be placed against the mounting plate as necessary.
- Centre column: The R-3213X is supplied with the RX-402C center column for 38cm more height.
- Sealed twist locks with rubber for grip. Just half a turn and the legs will start to descend. The locks can be disassembled for maintenance.
- Rubber feet and stainless steel spikes: RX series tripods are all equipped with three rubber feet and three metal spikes. The rubber feet are ideal on firm, level ground. The metal spikes show their strength on soft, uneven ground. The tripod is equipped for all terrains.
- 10 layer carbon fiber, super-lightweight, stable, low-vibration, each leg has three sections
- Integrated spirit level for precise adjustments
- Three solid ratchet steps on the legs allow flexible use.
- Leg angle locking mechanism - the legs lock automatically when folding down.
- Stabilising hook - loading weight onto the hook ensures the tripod is stable and steady.
- Foam rubber leg wraps protect against high and low temperatures and ensure a secure grip during transport and in use.
Das R3213X ist neueste und kleinste Stativ der professionellen RX Serie von Sirui (Packmass 61n Sirui gibt 0mm, maximale Höhe 1410mm, mit der optinal austauschbaren Mittelsäule bis zu 1790 mm und trägt ein Gewicht bis zu 22Kg).
Die gigantischen Dreibeine der RX-Serie sind eindrucksvolle Stative mit einer beachtlichen Tragkraft und überragender Stabilität. Nicht unbedingt geeignet für das leichte Reisegepäck aber im höchsten Maße zuverlässig wenn es darum geht schwere Foto- oder Videoausrüstung zu tragen. Ein großer Vorteil ist die austauschbare Adapterhalbschale, in die direkt ein Videokopf eingesetzt werden kann - flexibler und einfacher kann man, mit nur einem Stativ nicht zwischen Foto und Video wechseln.
Geliefert wird das Stativ in einer Nylontasche mit Griffschlaufen und einem Gurt der abnehmbar ist und direkt am Stativ angebracht werden kann. Wie von Sirui gewohnt gibt es eine Reihe von Details, die aussergewöhnlichund hilfreich sind:
- Kopfmontageplatte: Die Kopfmontageplatte aus Alu ist mit einer 3/8“-Schraube für die Befestigung des Equipments bestückt. Um das Equipment gegen unbeabsichtigtes Verdrehen zu sichern, befindet sich in der Montageplatte eine Fixierschraube
- 75mm Nivellierhalbschal: Im Lieferumfang befindet sich die 75mm Adapterhalbschale R2X-75A, die nach Bedarf gegen die Montageplatte ausgetauscht werden kann. Eine passende Nivellierhalbkugel zur idealen Ausrichtung ist z. B. die optional erhältliche SIRUI RX-75B.
- R-3213X: Die Mittelsäule RX-402C ist bereits im Lieferumfag enthalten. Mit der RX-402C erhalten Sie bis zu 38cm mehr Höhe. Die Carbon-Mittelsäule ist für bodennahe Aufnahmen umkehrbar.
- Drehverschlüss: Abgedichtete Ring-Locks mit griffiger Gummierung. 1/2 Umdrehung genügt und die Beinsegmente fahren selbsttätig hinaus. Die Verschlüsse sind für die Wartung und Pflege zerlegbar.
- Gummifüße und Edelstahlspikes: Die Stative der RX-Serie verfügen alle über drei Gummifüße und drei Metallspikes. Bei festem, ebenem Untergrund sind die Gummifüße ideal. Bei weichem, unebenem Untergrund zeigen die Metallspikes ihre Stärken. Somit sind die Stative für jedes Terrain gerüstet.
- Nivellierlibelle – eine Wasserwaage für die perfekte Ausrichtung befindet sich direkt auf der Stativschulter.
- Drei feste Raststufen der Beine ermöglichen einen flexiblen Einsatz.
- Beinwinkel-Lockmechanismus - automatisches Einrasten beim Herunterklappen der Beine.
- Stabilisierungshaken - durch Gewichtsbelastung des Hakens wird das Stativ stabiler und standhafter.
- Im Haken ist ein praktischer Inbusschlüssel zum Montieren der Montageplatte oder der Nivellierhalbschale integriert.
- Kälteschutzgriffe aus Moosgummi schützen vor hohen und niedrigen Temperaturen und sorgen für sicheren Halt.
- Taschengurt kann auch separat als Stativgurt verwendet werden
The K30X is the second biggest tripodhead of the professional KX Series. Since i already own a K30X i can say it really is a pleasure to work with it.
It comes with a "Arca-Swiss" quick release plate, a neoprene carrying bag and the following features:
- 360 ° panorama function and vertical notch
- Easy and fast control of all knobs
- Plate with 1/4" stainless steel screw - head assembly with 3/8" thread
- Safety Lock - prevents slipping of the plate
- Sliding Stopper - stops the camera slipping when in portrait mode
- Spirit levels - horizontally and vertically
- Supports 30 Kg
Der K30X Kugelkopf ist der zweitgrösste der professionellen KX Serie. Da ich bereits seit einigen Jahren einen X Kugelkopf in Verwendung habe, kann ich bestätigen, dass es eine Freude ist damit zu arbeiten.l
Der Kopf kommt mit einer "Arca-Swiss" Schnellwechselplatte, einem Neoprenbeutel und folgenden Ausstattungsmerkmalen:
- Material: Aluminium
- 360° Panoramafunktion mit Skala (5° Schritte stufenlos)
- Friktionskontrolle - Feststellknopf im Endanschlag begrenzbar
- 90° Hochformatkerbe
- 3 Nivellierlibellen

- Platte mit 1/4" Schraube - Kopf mit 3/8" Gewinde

The 82 mm Polarizer comes in a plastic box which is ok and handy if you got it off the lens and in your bag. As Sirui states, it has a polarisation rate of nearly 100%, made of high quality Schott glas (1,5mm), slim aluminium construction to prevent vignetting and 12layer anti releflection nano coating. It should do a areal good job if it comes about popping out colours, specially of the sky and to reduce reflection
Der Polfilter hat einen Durchmesser von 82mm und kommt in einer Plastikbox für den Fall, dass der Filter mal nicht auf dem Objektiv ist.
Hat lt. den Spezifikationen von Sirui eine nahezu 100%-igen Polarisation, ist aus hochwertigem Schott Glas (1,5 mm) in einer Ultra slim Aluminiumfassung um Vignettierung zu verhindern (bei Brennweiten bis 16 mm) und 12 Lagen Nano-Antireflex-Beschichtung.
